I was totally blown away! I also auditioned in Atlanta - I was just 50 or so people after you - but I did see you waiting in the hall to sing. At the time, I couldn't begin to guess the dynamics of your voice, but when your site popped up, I went "Oh my gosh! I know her!" - I was delighted to hear you sing online - your voice is outstanding. I see where you were going to intially go to New York to audition - did that fall through? The reason I ask is we are travelling on parallel paths. I was initially supposed to audition in Chicago! Like you, I have had my share of hardships in life - but it's seeing wonderful people like you that inspire me to keep trying. I started out blogging about my efforts to sing on AGT, but it quickly turned into a book-in-the-works. My daughter (who is a published illustrator in San Francisco) is helping me publish right before the holidays. I just published two posts about the Atlanta auditions, and have one more to put out there and then I will probably stop blogging about AGT (for now). Not sure if they'll pick me, but the important thing to remember is never let "no" get in the way. Keep doing what you do and you'll be fine and so will I.
